GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEER
Construction Materials Testing and Inspection
consultant/laboratory. Salary based on
experience and certification.
Duties typically include:
- Staff supervision and technical support as required.
- Project site reconnaissance and boring layout.
- Installation and monitoring of geotechnical field
instrumentation.
- Management of test boring exploration programs.
- Analysis of field and laboratory test data.
- Determination of the bearing and characteristics
of subsurface material.
- Preparation of geotechnical investigation and
foundation recommendation reports.
Requirements:
- A BS/MS degree in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering.
- Engineer in Training Certificate highly recommended.
- Excellent communication skills and problem solving
ability, both oral and written.
- Knowledge of soil mechanics and advanced mathematics.
