A Message from the President

CME Associates Inc. is an Independent Accredited Commercial Testing Laboratory that provides professional and tehnical services to public and private clients engaged in design, construction and maintenance of buildings and infrastructure. CME Engineering Group, PLLC is a registered professional engineering company providing specialty engineering services. CME's services are provided by and under the responsible charge of in-house licensed professionals and certified technologists. The CME technologists and laboratories provide physical testing of construction materials according to Standard Methods published by ASTM. Field and lab tests are made on concrete, asphalt, soil, steel, masonry and other construction materials. The results of tests and inspections may be used to determine conformance of the building material or structure to the approved plans and specifications and the Building Code of NYS.

CME's licensed engineers and certified technologists are specialized in the practices of geotechnical, environmental, soils and forensic engineering. CME operates its own test boring drill rigs and tests sampled materials in its own in-house accredited laboratories.

CME provides geotechnical and structural observation services for those projects, which are designed by CME and its affiliated company CME Engineering Group, PLLC.

CME provides geophysical testing and reporting for determination of Seismic Site Classification for a project site, building or structure.

CME provides forensic investigation and reporting of completed construction to ascertain causes and potential repair/reconstruction of failed materials, components and structures.

CME provides controlled and special inspection services of newly constructed facilities as defined by and in accordance with the New York State Building Codes.

CME operates from branch facilities in Albany, Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse and Elmira, in addition to HQ in Central Square. CME employs over 180 statewide.
